Record Attendance at 'State of the Port' View webcast of Steinke's address on key issues, outlook January 29, 2010 Port of Long Beach Executive Director Richard D. Steinke on Friday delivered his annual “State of the Port” address to a record crowd of 650 at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach. Attendance was more than double last year's event. Steinke's speech highlighted the Port's environmental leadership wth programs such as the Clean Trucks Program and shore power, and Port's role in reviving the regional economy with planned infrastructure projects such as Middle Harbor and the replacement of the Gerald Desmond Bridge that will generate thousands of jobs.
