2010 'Pulse of the Ports' Now Online

Nearly 500 people attended Wednesday's “Pulse of the Ports” forecast event at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Long Beach as a panel of trade experts gave their outlook for 2010.

"Pulse of the Ports" is an annual trade forecast event sponsored by the Port. This year, the panel of experts included: Dr. Joseph Magaddino, Chair of the Department of Economics at California State University Long Beach; Jeff Siewert, Director of International Logistics for Home Depot; Wolfgang Freese, President of Hapag-Lloyd America; Peter Peyton, President ILWU Local 63; Frank Capo, VP of Customer Service and Sales for Total Terminals International; Fred Malesa, VP of International Intermodal for BNSF Railway; and Matt Schrap, Director of Environmental Affairs for the California Trucking Association.
