Port Sets Hearing on Caltrans' Heim Bridge Replacement Public invited to comment at July 19 meeting June 15, 2010 The Port of Long Beach will host a public hearing July 19 on a proposal by the California Department of Transportation to replace the Schuyler Heim Bridge. The Port has prepared an Application Summary Report (ASR) for the proposed project in accordance with the California Coastal Act and the Port's Master Plan. The Port is seeking input on the project. The Port released the ASR for public review on June 14, 2010. The report is available at http://www.polb.com/environment/docs.asp. Copies of the ASR are also available for review at the Long Beach Public Library, 101 Pacific Ave., Long Beach; San Pedro Regional Branch Library, 931 Gaffey St., San Pedro; Wilmington Branch Library, 1300 N. Avalon Blvd., Wilmington; and at the Port of Long Beach Administration Building, 925 Harbor Plaza, Long Beach. The public hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m., July 19, 2010, in the 6th Floor Board Room at the Port Administration Building. The Port is accepting written comments until 4:30 p.m. on July 7, 2010.
